The Philly Folk Scene is an Award Winning Show! 

We travelled to Brooklyn, NY on June 28th for the award celebration.  We had a fantastic time and felt so honored to be among many other colleagues from PhillyCam who also won award this year. 

The Philly Folk Scene airs on WPPM 106.5 FM every Thursday from 3-5 pm!!! We feature local artists as well as many well-known national acts.  Some upcoming guests include: The Scooches, Vance Gilbert, John Flynn, and more!! We hope you will tune in to hear us! Rusty’s background of 35 years as a Registered Nurse includes case management in the areas of hospice, acute care, physical rehabilitation, and skilled nursing facilities. He also is a self-taught guitarist of over 45 years.

Here is Rusty and Jan during a recent performance at Simpson Meadows near Downingtown, PA.






Jan is a classically trained flutist and a skilled saxophonist and clarinetist.




Together they perform in assisted living and senior facilities with a special interest in memory care units. Rusty and Jan are honored to provide comfort and/or an uplifting diversion to patients and their families during end of life.


Their repertoire includes many styles such as: standards, classical, popular, and spiritual to name a few. They can perform either vocally or instrumentally depending on the needs of the client. They can also perform individually or as an ensemble.






Rusty and Jan also offer Holiday Favorites with Rusty and Jan.  Imagine Jan's heavenly flute filling your performance space as Rusty and Jan (click there to hear more) play your Holiday Favorites like: Blue Christmas, I'll Be Home for Christmas, Jingle Bell Rock, What Child is This, White Christmas, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, and many more!  Remember that Jan is a multi-instrumentalist _ flute, saxophone, clarinet, etc., while Rusty strums his trusty guitar.  You can hear their wonderful sound on their moving original Holiday song  Daddy's First Christmas!
